Britain pledges more support to the Malawi Defense Force!!!

Britain has pledged to support the Malawi Defense Force (MDF) in developing peace keeping skills and capacity building.
Jeff Simms, the new defense advisor at the British High Commission disclosed this to in an interview.
Colonel Simms has replaced Colonel John Kane who served on the position for two years and died before the end of his tenure in March next year.
Colonel Simms will serve for three years on non residential basis based at the British High Commissions office in Zimbabwe.
He will be responsible for Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique.
Colonel Simms said his first task will be to enhance peacekeeping skills and capacity building in the Malawi Defense Force.
As the defense adviser he will also be responsible for conflict resolution and management in the SADC region.
He added that HIV and AIDS is another area of interest after realizing that the military across the SADC region is losing a number of committed soldiers due to the pandemic.
Colonel Simms has served in the military for over 26 years in different top commanding position
